Composer Kevin is a composer of original music for film, TV and visual media and an accomplished classical and jazz pianist. Kevin creates music in every style and instrumenation, drawing from his extensive musical background and team of the finest musicians in Los Angeles. Kevin began performance, theory and composition studies in primary school and earned a B.A. Minor in Music with Honors from Queens University (Ontario). In recognition of his talent in composition, Kevin was awarded both the George Delerue Film Scoring Scholarship and the Berklee Achievement Based Scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the renowned Berklee College of Music Film Scoring Program. Music Editor and Supervisor Kevin has worked as a Music Editor, managing the different pieces of music used in the production and creating temp tracks used for early versions of the film well before the actual music is composed. Kevin's role as a Music Editor also includes work as a Music Supervisor-placing and licensing songs for use in film and media. As both an Editor and Supervisor, Kevin acts as a liaison between the director, composer and business/budgetary considerations of a project. Technology Kevin is a consultant for software installation, sample library configuration and studio setup and an expert in sequencing. He has consulted with many film and television composers' and record producers' studios in Los Angeles, understanding both technological and musical needs. He currently consults for Steinberg North America as an expert in Cubase, Nuendo, Wavelab and all their VSTi's. He is also proficient in Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer and Kontakt.
